A Very English Summer

While key members of our team may have jetted off to California (short straws were most certainly pulled), there are still English summer stalwarts left in the office, including Resource pooch Henry who drags us out into our garden whenever he can. When the sun does manage to glimpse out from behind the gathering storm clouds, we rush out, an expertly-mixed Pimms No.1 Cup in hand, to make the most of our rather fine garden with even finer al fresco furniture. Our favourite – and most English of all – are these rather wonderful, beautifully-designed deck chairs by Thornback & Peel. We’re drawn, for some reason, to the jelly and pigeon motif – we’re not sure what it means or says about us, but it certainly screams ‘English country garden’. Priced just £114.50, they’ll add character and eccentricity to even the most tiny of city gardens.
