The Team

The core Resource team has nearly 100 years of publishing experience between them; from launching luxury lifestyle titles in Barbados and in Marbella, Spain, to working with companies like Virgin Atlantic, Eurostar, Time Out, myhotels and Visit London to launch exciting corporate publications. Over the years, their freelance talents have graced the pages of magazines as diverse as British Airways’ High Life, Delayed Gratification, The European, Tatler, Elle, The AA Magazine, ITV’s This Morning website, Time Out and The Dorchester Group Magazine.

Here’s just a little about some of our team:

Rachel Seed, Publishing Director

Rachel is Resource’s Publishing Director. Rachel’s very international upbringing included stints in Florida, Marbella, London, Athens and Gloucestershire. Now living in Margate, on the eastern-most corner of Kent, she’s embracing seaside life and enjoying watching the area regenerate.
Her career has been equally diverse: property development, sales and land acquisition; running a concierge and lifestyle management business in Marbella; being at the helm of the renowned Caché Magazine; as well as fulfilling her dream of running her own restaurant, as chef and owner of an award-winning gastropub. Her passions are reflected in the pages of Resource.

Lisa Richards, Editorial Director

Lisa has over 15 years of publishing experience under her belt – from websites for the likes of Comic Relief, ITV’s This Morning and Primelocation.com, to magazines and content for Elle, Time Out, Monocle, British Airways’ High Life, Manchester Tourist Board, Visit London, The Dorchester Group, The AA, myhotels group and even S Club 7 (a long time ago)! An eclectic mix, indeed. She worked on the luxury lifestyle title Caché in Marbella and Barbados for five years, travelling between the publication’s two bases, and is now back in the UK.

Liz Hatton, New York correspondent

Liz Hattton LeBron James

Liz Hatton started her career in the travel industry for BA and Virgin Atlantic before moving to Sony Music where she spent five years in marketing, organising travel and events for Sony’s staff and artists. Realising that events were her real passion, she moved to a position heading up the events team for a five-star London venue. Wanting a more creative role she moved to a production agency where she delivered celebrity-studded parties for high-profile individuals.

For the last 10 years years Liz has been working for leading events agencies and luxury brands in London and throughout the US. Creating and running events for the likes of the Kering Group, Belvedere Vodka, the Super Bowl and Montblanc and working with A-list celebrities including Lebron James (above, with Liz) and Robert De Niro. She’ll be eating, drinking and shopping her way around NYC on behalf of Resource, uncovering and recommending the hottest new openings in the city that never sleeps.

Christian Tate, Art Director

Christian is an Art Director who has, literally, shaped the look of modern magazines. For over 15 years Christian has been working for the publishing world’s big-hitters to create a style that is uniquely his own. As well as working as a designer with the likes of Harpers, Time Out, Tate Modern, the South Bank Centre and Sony, Christian is also an illustrator, photographer and occasional writer. He is currently studying architecture and has most recently designed the amazing Delayed Gratification, a stunning new almanac produced by The Slow Journalism Company.

Nick Clarke, Features Editor

Nick is (annoyingly for the rest of us) by far the youngest of the Resource team. But don’t be fooled by his boyish good looks and cheeky grin; Nick’s talent, intellect and sharp wit make him an invaluable and much-loved member of our editorial panel. Since graduating with a degree in English Literature and Media, Nick has thrown himself into a career writing about the things he loves most: travel, fashion, food, interiors and all things stylish. His unique and quirky writing style has meant that he’s found himself in demand from some of the globe’s most popular and well-known publications and we are pleased to have snapped him up for Resource.

  1. Hi,

First of all-a neat picture and story about the Great Dane! 🙂

I saw you mention AYBS in your blog, so I thought this might interest you.

I run an official “Are You Being Served?” site at:

    http://www.aybscentral.com

There are a lot of images and info pertaining to all the cast members.

There is also a lot of other stuff for the AYBS fan including a blog, forum and an online role playing game.

    Enjoy!
